The Vision

How will we help people overcome poverty?

Beginning with a small street in East Pine Bluff, Home Again will renovate homes and rent them to individuals who are employed, active in church, pursue & complete personal growth classes, and actively work toward self-sufficiency. Renters will pay a below market rental rate for 3-5 years after which they will be able to purchase the property for half of the appraised value. This is a huge step in building personal equity for the future.

Will this really help the community as a whole?

We’re committed to partnering with local contractors and suppliers to complete all of our renovations. Our hope is to help rebuild the work ethic of young people in Pine Bluff and inspire them start their own businesses and make real economic change in the community.

When will the houses be ready?

We have completed and delivered the first two homes on E 8th Ave to two wonderful families. Our 3rd home began renovation in Jan. 2022 with a targeted completion date of May 2022. We have several other homes on E. 8th Ave that we will complete in the next phase. We are working with the City and other local agencies to acquire additional property to develop into neighborhoods. The goal is 3 houses in 2022, 4 houses in 2023, and eventually a change that is contagious for years to come.

Not only have you redone the house, but you’ve changed the culture of a neighborhood... Community
is the secret weapon.

Current Renovations: 8th Avenue, Pine Bluff, Arkansas

Webb

At one time, this 1600 sq ft space was home to a family of four. In this living room, they had Christmas, family nights even cub scout meetings. But like many families in Pine Bluff, this east side house was left vacant and fell on hard times.  She has been robbed of her copper piping and her floors have begun to rot.
But thanks to you she’s back! The Webb house renovation was completed in 2021 and is the new home to a wonderful young family that is making a positive difference in the neighborhood and community.

Honor Roll

This great space has a grand entrance covered up with a holly bush that is now a 30’ tall holly tree! This house has an amazing floor plan and a great back yard but after sitting vacant in the elements she’s a mess.

We call it the Honor Roll house because inside we found a child’s honor roll certificate from the last family to live here.  Thanks to you honor will soon be restored to this beauty!

We have partnered with Habitat for Humanity on this restoration and have a July 2022 target for completion.

Veteran

This home was once occupied by someone who served our country with distinction and has now fallen on hard times. There’s a lot to love about this home. We added a Master bedroom and bath to create a home for a larger family.

Our restoration was completed in Jan 2022. It is now the home of a family of three with a second child on the way. They have a front porch to socialize with the neighbors, a back deck to host a barbecue, and a third bedroom for a nursery. Many joyous days ahead!

The Holly House

This two bedroom, two bath home was built in 1920. It has been vacant for the past 15 years. The interior of the home needed a great deal of work to replace all of the floors and floor joists, kitchen and bathrooms. The home has a wonderful covered front porch area that was once a gathering for neighbors to sit and fellowship. Walking into the front door you are met with a large gathering room that was once used for family events. Two full bathrooms was a rarity in 1920. Currently under transformation!
